Hi there.

I was on this forum once before and obtained some Yamaha Maple Custom samples which worked quite well for awhile. The problem with them however, was that the toms weren't tuned up to par with the rest of the drums, and the snare was too resonant.

So anyways, I figured here would be the place to look for good samples. If anyone has any information, it would greatly help.

Thanks

You can try the NSKit Free. Just go to www.nskit.com and find the free version there. It's pretty good at hard rock and such.

And even if it's not, it's another great kit to add to your collection!

+1. keep on rocking in the free world.

For my ultimate drum kit I used kicks and toms from GSCW (maybe snares from there too) and cymbals from Kingston's ruffrider and easyrider.
NSkit7 is great too but kicks need some serious EQ boosting for rock.

Grab the free RGC's sfz player and a text editor and start compiling your kits.
If I go insane, please don't put your wires in my brain

Why don't you convert them to 44,1k then ?

it'll take allot of time for me....unless someone wants to do it for me....:-P

DeathByGuitar, what host and sampler are you using? In this day and age, you should not have a problem playing 48k samples. Soundblasters and onboard motherboard soundcards can all handle 48k.

Hey Zeoy - Sounds like a great idea. I'm pretty new to this stuff - how do you go about doing that? Any chance on you sharing the sfz file?

it's a program for the mac called doggiebox, although i'm trying to find something similar on the PC. nothing seems to work nearly as well as it did for me. hydrogen seemed really promising, but it's too buggy and missing windows features

what good drum sequencers would you suggest? and NO, i don't need midi ANYTHING :D something like a step sequencer would be great.
