Hello,

Here is the scan of an advert for Cubase 4 in the EQ Magazine !

The original topic comes from the official Cubase forum :

That's an awesome advert : 33 new VST3 plugins !, HALion One (seems to be a virtual expander), new AudioWarp tools (I mailed Steinberg France and it seems that they have choosen a new pitch-shifting and time-stretching algorithm)...

Let's wait...

HALion One with Motif waves

hmm.

I wonder how many versions before that one's bug free :D

Kind regards

hey thanks for the info. I wish they had done this before I bought all my plugins ! I must admit though, not much is mentioned about...

- New timestretching / vocal correction / time locking
- 64 bit ... even the system requirements say nothing about Windows x64, very surprising
- Groundbreaking new features.

Regardless, I'm still extremely hyped for this ... but if this is all it has to offer, I think Sonar might have outdone themselves with their v6 which includes substantially more changes.

Let's wait and see :)

I assume it's going to be a spin off of the DIRAC algo they used for Wavelab 6 which sounds astounding. Or well, at least I hope it is... so I won't have to go back and forth for those edits.

33 Plugins! Intriguing! I can't wait to hear how thrilled Kingston is about the "vintage" compressors! :hihi:

All I can say is that, despite popular sentiment, I've really enjoyed each update to Cubase and I look forward (to when I can afford) this one. I'll have to wait anyway; Steinberg takes forever to get their product to Canada.

K-Slash thanks, i'm crying like a little girl here.
Thanks Steinberg too. Man, i'm on a cyber cafe, this is to emberassing... close to generic remote and MIDI learn on SX3.

Here's to hoping something good would come out of the Yamaha acquisition of Steinberg! Damn, the Motif waves are worth the price of admission. Would be nice if they came around to every other app and created a MIXER PAGE instead of the same crap mixer sliver that is just ridiculous (circa Cubase VST24). I mean, come on...You can't even veiw it on the full screen. What is that?

Funny (well sad actually), I see nil mentions of any new and important *host* features. That ad is just a list of new plugins (and the oh so exciting notation features...not). I would've thought a serious host update would focus on usability and workflow improvements (and the ever so important robustness and stability).

as much as I hate cubase.net forums at least most users there have a similar opinion on this. Great to be customer to such a loyal company. :hihi:

MEDIA BAY, SOUND FRAME

Post

ooooooh! *erection*

NOT! :x

(pool has been working quite ideally for me thanks very much at least for that. And I have a great mediabay already. It's called windows explorer. But then I'm good at organising audio)

I guess it is explorer 8.0 or something that syncs wav to host, i forget about it, sorry...
well some dudes fork out €500 for NI preset browser, it's now included on C4 sound frame.
