Is it possible to run a program in rewire mode in cubase so I can record from that program on a track in cubase?

1) Lots of them. Minihost, Chainer, EnergyXT, Plogue Bidule, Forte...
2) If the program supports ReWire to begin with, sure. That's what ReWire's for- transferring audio and MIDI between apps.

I've just downloadet the Bidule as a demo...but that sure is pretty complicated...
