I think VST3 is likely to be a 64-bit implementation - that wasn't available in 2.3 I think.

Three shall be the number of the counting

And the number of the counting shall be three.

I would rather pay full price for Sonar 6PE (which I don't have to, being S6 PE user) than subject myself the torture of Cubase.

How excruciatingly interesting and relevant, Beardedone.

I don't know what's new in VST 3 - that ad is the first thing they've mentioned about it.

Sorry but I wasted a lot time trying to get cubase to work years back and I still hold a grudge for the six months I wasted.

It strikes me as utterly amusing that people decide critizise Cubase 4 having only seen a few low res screenshots and a vague magazine ad. Oh well, fire away people. I guess bashing is alot more fun than waiting for the actual press release.

Here's a tiny detail though that people seem to be missing: VST3

Anyone still remember what the update to VST2 meant?

No clip based effects (like in sam)
No pitch correction (like in all other major sequencers)
No snapshot automation
The buggy video engine from N3 and a rompler instead (yawn)

Kind of disappointing, to be honest.
Let's see what 4.2/Nuendo 4 brings....

Imo this isn't even remotely enough punishment for buying GA2.
I am curious though about what Cubase 4 will offer.
Some bugfixes for SX2 features would be nice, any new features will most likely be interesting in Cubase 6 or 7.

"All 4 You" is so rubbish! I hate when marketing people do stuff like that.. there's no significance to cubase there, just the number 4. They could have at least tried to come up with something clever.
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.
