Thats because you used to do it as an offline process! :bang:

Everything we've said still stands, you can't do this as a realtime effect you have to do it as an offline process. What you can do to recreate this effect, as BertKoor has already said, is load the sample you wish to manipulate into a sampler and automate it's pitch. Simple.

If you want to do this as an offline process then, again as BertKoor said (clever fella! :) ), Audition/Cooledit Pro will do this out of the box. Sound Forge will also do it. It's quite a simple effect your after so I bet most Audio editors will do this.

I never said I wanted this to be an online process  So pull out your wedgie and relax.

I was using AA but my current computer can't handle it. So, I'm back to editing with CE2000 but, as I stated before, CE2000 does not have this feature.

So I was just hoping there was something I could use inside CE2000.

Thanks for your patience.
I try to care and understand.

Oops, mixed message! I meant to put a  after the :bang: !

I was trying to put across frustration because we just seemed to be going round in circles! You weren't being very clear as to how you wanted to use the effect. If you'd made it clear you were after an offline effect it would have made things a lot simpler in the first place! Anyhoo, I've just checked Audacity, QuickAudio and Wavosaur (free audio editors) and I don't believe they are capable of the effect you're after. I think until you get Audition working you'll have to do it with a sampler and automation if you need the effect.

Good luck. :)

Oh yes, it does!!

Effects - Time/Pitch - Stretch - tab with Gliding Stretch.
Set stretching mode to "Resample (preserve neither)"

Alas you can't draw curves, but you can apply it section by section... Or isn't that what you needed?
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated. Image

BertKoor: I'll take a look at that. Thank you. If it changes pitch without preserve than that's what I need. It would be cool if there was something like this in VST form with a draw. Meh.

the way: Thanks for clarifying.

No problems, it's very easy to misinterpret the way things are written. Particularly if you miss out an emoticon like I did! :)
