I'll plan to fix this behavior. I'll probably use right mouse button for free-form movements. Shift, ctrl and alt buttons will be used for various synchronizations. Double click is (as was always with Voxengo plug-ins) 'reset to default state'.
I really like the default behaviour, it makes it very easy to quickly set up EQ curves! I'd prefer if left-click continued to function as it does and right-clicking/modifier key + left clicking locked movement to just a single fader.

Ah, the joys of development, everyone wants something different! :)

Perhaps the solution is to have the option of switching left and right button functions (saved in the dll so that it always remembers your "prefered" state")?
the way is not a religious or political statement

I dislike re-programmable controls. It is better to have some standard control scheme shared among all plug-ins.

BTW, it seems that Sony ACID Pro has got a broken VST 2.3 support. They do not call setSpeakerArrangement() nor they handle multiple IO channels correctly: it seems to be they are mixing everything to mono - hence the -12 dB drop in volume. While they just should report correct speaker arrangement and work in a normal stereo-to-stereo mode.

I will add a tweak which will report 2 channels to just the Sony ACID Pro (this should not affect other applications). In the future I will probably add a standard switch 'disable VST 2.3 support', because other host applications may not support VST 2.3 correctly as well. Also, this switch can be turned off when ACID finally supports VST 2.3 channel connections correctly.

nice aleksey! but the preset system doesn't work yet, right?

Thanks for this Eq, I seem to have a problem with it, however: when I open it (reproducible in several hosts) - it doesn't show the GUI. I'm still on 98SE. What should I do to have this plugin running in 98SE?

Experimented a little with it in Acid pro 6 and it seems to work well now.

Excellent plugin. :)

I have the same problem!

This is what Aleksey stated;
Aleksey Vaneev wrote: OMNIFEX, I'm pretty sure it can be because of Windows 98, because we are not testing the plug-in under Win98. According to Voxengo.com website statistics, only 3.5% use Win98 (of all Windows versions) to visit the website. So, I guess it may not worth the additional hassle. However, at some point I may install Win98 on some computer just for debugging reasons - but do not count on that, please, because we do use some Windows NT/XP-only API features.
I guess Windows 98 users are plum out of
luck on this Plug-In.

I'm still saving it, so I can use it when
I build a new DAW.

It does work, but it is not fully convenient as you cannot change names of stored banks and presets freely.

Nothing can be done from your side right now. I will probably have to install Win98SE again (its disc is lying somewhere here). But I'll get to that later.

aleksey, tested the plug on my 1.2ghz laptop in tracktion2 and it was running kind of slow whenever i slide any of the faders, cpu went way up... will that be optimized?

I thought we have optimized graphics a lot. Constant UI redraws hardly take 4% of CPU on Athlon 64 X2. However, if you scale that to old 1.2 GHz laptop I may expect 15% CPU hit. If that's what you are getting, then this has to be expected. Or does it go really slow?

Future version will have a 'peak display refresh frequency' setting. Right now it is tuned to 50 Hz.

rpc9943, do you maybe know other plug-ins from other vendors that perform similarly slow when you change something on their UI, on your laptop?
