I just didn't like the way that there was no warning that EAS was going to sell their product off like that. I love my original EAS plugs and have no plans to update them..
Just to say, EAS are alive and well (but not living in Dagenham). They just chose to give the distribution rights to RN under a particular agreement. They have stated that the still exist as an independent company and will continue developing. RN will not be hiring new developers to tweak the product line, if any changes are made, EAS will do them.

EAS also said that they may develop other product lines that may be distributed via other channels (ie not just an RN monopoly on EAS code). However, they have nothing to announce just now.

sorry about the very obscure Young Ones reference, btw. If anyone knows where it is from, you can have a large pat on the back. If you can contrive a link to Bill Bruford from it as well, you get an extra 20 points :)

Really? I hadn't heard that. I'll have to check that out. Thanks for the correction.

I never doubted that for a minute, old son.

My posting was not a comment on yours. It was a comment on a fat arrogant and rump-spankingly ignorant old fart, who should be thrown off Sound on Sound to make way for somebody with a better informed, more balanced and technically accurate frame of reference, like Bones.

Wait wait wait wait...
NO iLok?! But still Pace I guess or is it the old way like Elemental Audio did?

Come to think of it, as Elemental Audio user, I still didn't get an eMail by either of them for "crossgrade" (for a shitload of money of course) possibilities.

Geez... I just f*cking hate Roger Nichols. His articles in Sound on Sound are only a bunch of hot air and not really helpful at all. But what can we do? He holds very good plugins hostage, for a way too high price.

There we go again...

EDIT:
WHAT THE f**k?!
Inspector XL is 299USD now? It was 250USD before! f**king ripoff just because the name "Roger Nichols" is on it. What's next, removing the K-System for even more shitty overcompressed engineerings again?

*sorry, had to blow off some steam*

In next week's exciting installment of Sound of Sound, I'll be talking about egg boxes, and how to sell them for fifty quid a piece.
