It does work
really? i tried to save/set current settings as default (as in other voxengo plugins), but it doesn't work here. how do you save (set as default) the channel-mapping for example?

Post

You'll have to select current preset in the 'Work Bank' (in preset manager), and press 'Set as Default'. I've checked it out - this does work.

BTW, I think I'll be able to optimize graphics a little more in the future. Hope sluggishness can be resolved on old computers.

mmh, group-assignments don't get saved here (when loading the plugin, all stuff is reset to standard-settings instead of my own saved defaults!?) ....

Dandruff, you are right.. I have forgot to add something. But you may press 'Reset' - at least this works. I will fix this and other problems when I return from vacation. Sorry for inconvenience.

Thanks for the free plugin Aleksey. I'm looking forward to playing with this. :tu:

I'm out of town on a contract and have a Toshiba laptop (Pentium-M 1.7GHz 512MB) to tool around with. Using a Creative PCMCIA Audigy2 ZS with headphones though (DT770/DT880) so hopefully I can hear something! :phones:

Have a great vacation.

when I open it (reproducible in several hosts) - it doesn't show the GUI. I'm still on 98SE. What should I do to have this plugin running in 98SE?
Nothing can be done from your side right now. I will probably have to install Win98SE again (its disc is lying somewhere here). But I'll get to that later.
Thanks for clearing that up, Aleksey. I'm sad because I can't test it with a song. I really hoped I'd just need to download some dll's etc.

I'm back from vacation and ready to hear more comments and feature requests/suggestions. :)

Welcome Back

Post

About the request, I'd like to see a parametric version of this EQ from Voxengo, with the same "meta tube :o" technology for overtones on the frequencies.

Without forgetting the nice GUI, with eye-candy knobs and VU-meters, and a smooth anti-aliased curve on the graphic .

That's quite reasonable. I think I may add such EQ mode to the future release of GlissEQ. At least I plan to use similar parametric filters in GlissEQ (they are almost fully symmetrical bell filters up to Nyquist limit). But I may add "meta tube" as an option as well. I also have some ideas about "meta tube" itself - maybe I can make it sound even better. :)

GOOOD EQ, thank you very much ! It sort of reminds me of
the sound of Sony Inflator - vastly different, but the same sort of digital tube emulation with class. Nearly unbelievable that its free :-).

Now wheres the compressor with THAT sound ?
