Hello,

I just wanna know if we will see the new updated GUI for all of the plugins of the Gold Series before the end of the year ?

Sorry, can't wait for a much cleaner and nicer interface

..coz the plugins obviously won't work without it and it's an absolutely crucial thing for the sound, yeah?

I best get rid of all my voxengo stuff. They don't go well with the red and green studio furnishing I have.

What the f*ck has happened to the state of KvR????

Can't somebody ask a simple question without people jumping all over them?

So the guy wants a better gui and thinks the golden series interface needs improvement... Leave him alone for chr*st's sake.

This place used to be cool and constructive - now it's just ridiculous. What happened to opinions being stated without being attacked by the mob? Some of you guys just sit in the bushes waiting to jump on people without your points of view, and it really s*cks ass.

A lot of serious musos have left the KvR community and moved on to other more tolerant boards simply because of the attitude that rears up every second here. Now they just come back to check out what's new but can't be bothered posting anymore, and that's a real shame - the sense of 'community' has been replaced by bullsh*t attitude.

You guys scare away potential constructive dialogue of both new and old members with different angles to share.

What a shame.

and you can post all the rolling-eye emoticons you want at me - I personally think that's one emoticon that should be removed from KvR completely... It might make some people actually use that piece of grey matter taking up valuable space within their skull once in a while rather than shoot from the hip.

And I agree - nice plug, but the GUI could use some improvement.

calm down fella! This is not exactly a serious issue.

I mean, you two obviously haven't even considered all those people who thought the original golden GUIs were better than the new GAG version. I like the GAG-1 improvement, but many didn't, as was evident from the release threads.

"the golden series interface needs an improvement"... I don't think so. They are fine as is, look neutral, and get the job done. Anything beyond that is meaningless when it comes to using these tools.

haha Well both Kingston and Resonance made me laugh.. Each in their own way, KIngstons was more haha funny. Resonance was funny becasue of the seriousness of his post, and for the fact he * out the i in Christ!!! haha If its a bad word and not supposed to be used in vain, then I don't think this (Chr*st)makes it any better. ANd I agree, the GUI is hardly a pressing matter for such high quiality plug-ins, but yeah the guy should be able to ask, and we sure as hell should be able to respond any way we want. The fact is KVR is a rather large community.. I like that,, you get all walks of life, and the more thats in here, the more we all disagree. ITs life, it is like that when I/you walk out the door everyday. ITs not just KvR.. This is why there are countless wars and segregation everywhere.. Open your eyes, and stop blaming KVR.. DO you think I care if a someonw chose to go elsewhere on the WEB??hahahah NO,, the web is perhaps the most rotten thing on the planet, if it werent for the boundless amount of info to go along with the boundless amount of trash and idiocy.. ITs up TO YOU to deciper what you want. POsts like yours won't change a thing in this "virtual landscape" called web forums.

I actually like the guis for the kjaerhus items. I like the new MPL and Spectra styles even better. But the existing ones are also just fine, imo.

But then... what do I know about graphics anyway.

I must say I disagree in fact. There's some stuff in the GAG GUI that I like for sure, but overall I think the older Golden Series GUIs are nicer to look at. Just my opinion though

and obviously what really matters is the sound.

I would just say though that there are some improvements to the Golden Series that, for me at least, are a higher priority than spending time on the fonts and colour scheme. For example, the long promised draggable nodes on the GEQ7 interface would be most welcome.

Also I'd still like to see the range extended to include a more full-featured mixing set, e.g. the addition of a Reverb, Delay, Distortion, Multiband, Multimode filter, etc.

I'm not trying to change anything - just pointing out the lack of tolerance and that the board has lost the community feeling it once had. It used to be constructive and positive, Killvehicle - sorry, but it WAS when I joined back in 2002.

Yeah, it's grown much larger and people can respond how they want - but where does bullsh*t attitude actually get us? Cynicism is not in the spirit of music.

It's just more white noise to filter out.

And I '*' out my swear words because I hate the way KvR introduced the swear filter that jumbles up profanity so it doesn't resemble the original anymore. It f*cks with the flow of reading english.

Jeezzuuss can bring all the wrath he wants down on me.

@Kingston - the interface doesn't work well for everybody, which means finding alternate tools. I'm glad they work for you, but being sarcastic to K-Slash is just a waste of time when answering a post. It may be fun for you, but it's not productive in the slightest - no biggie, I just wanted to get that off my chest - sorry, you were the catalyst. I stopped actively being a KvR member about 2 years ago when the board started to slide... and it hasn't stopped sliding unfortunately.

Whatever.

I'm only one person - what difference can I make?

If the interface doesn't work for you, then an update to the look isn't going to change anything. The knobs and text are still the same size, there's still no draggable handles for GEQ-7, and the layout hasn't changed.

BTW, the swear filter's been gone for a while now.

As far as the community feel, I think that hasn't actually changed. Everyone always pines for the old KVR, but I've been here since 2003 and haven't seen anything really change.

The only improvement I'd badly like from Classic Series is SHIFT while dragging for fine tuning of parameters.

I mailed Torben about this some months ago but no plan to add it to them...

sigh...
