How to get LS to play silence

Hello, I am new to LiveSlice and I have a question about MIDI triggering from within Cubase.

I have a few arrangements in LS that I want to be triggered from within Cubase. I have set up a MIDI note pattern that seems to be working, but the thing is that I don't want LS to begin when the song begins, rather to come in after 4 bars. I have tried moving the MIDI part further up the song in Cubase, but LS still comes through during the first 4 bars of the song.

How do I stop LS coming through to Cubase, and set it so that it only comes through when a MIDI note triggers an arrangement? Then, for the first 4 bars, I could just set Cubase to trigger an empty arrangement so it will just give silence.

Is this a routing issue within Cubase or is it a setting within LiveSlice?

Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

deactivate "Trigger with Host" on the settings page, that should do it.

how about having cubase trigger an empty pattern at the start ?

Thanks a lot R.A.W, your solution worked just as I wanted it to.

I guess I misunderstood what was meant by the term "Trigger by host". Because even when this function is deactivated, the plugin is still triggered by the host, only in a different way. Maybe this could be clarified in future versions, for future users of the plugin. I think there needs to be a clear definition between "Trigger by the host's Play button" and "Trigger by the host's MIDI notes", or words to those effect.

Anyway, maybe this is something for the designers to consider.

Thanks again R.A.W. for your answer.
