time to find a new hobby little Tim. You are neglecting the most important bit of this line of work: the sound.

I don't think so.
The sound may be important for some, but there are also people want a nice "vintage hardware looking" gui more than anything.
Buying, collecting and looking at plugins is a valid hobby too imo.
And being fooled into thinking a better looking plugin sounds better is quite ok as well.

Thats the worst hobby ever, collecting plug-ins...

Ok, my 2 humble cents on this topic:
The GUI of the Golden series is fine the way way it is.
The dito on the GAG-1 is fine too, just different.

However, in general, I do think the the GUI matters.
A clear, logical and legible interface will probably speed
up your work.
A good GUI could even be a source of inspiration.
If the knobs are red or blue etc. is merely cosmetics, which
is of course not to be ignored entirely.
The graphics should be fairly easy on the eyes, especially
during long sessions in front of the screen.

Somehow, audio and interface should form a kind of symbiosis.

I agree with you kilroy. The original begs to be used and is so clear, so intuitive, so ergonomic.

The makeover instantly makes an impression and seems to look so much nicer. Once you think it through though, it is less ergonomic, less user friendly, and I think that many users will VERY QUICKLY get very sick of those stupid fonts. Whatever were they thinking?

So the guy wants a better gui and thinks the golden series interface needs improvement... Leave him alone for chr*st's sake.

This place used to be cool and constructive - now it's just ridiculous. What happened to opinions being stated without being attacked by the mob?

This exact kind of thing has been happening at KVR since I discovered it's existence back in 2000 or 2001

I really don't get these outbursts of 'what happened' and 'KVR used to be'
