What is also needed is something like Extreme Sample Converter to cross convert:
< - >
WAV files (acidized) with imbedded slice info.
REX files.
ZGR files with slice info.
AND All other file formats with slice info embedded and or separated external file slices..

I've had to write scripts for AUTOHOTKEYS to auto convert between Adobe Audition 2 embedded slices (cue points), FLstudio rendered slices, CUE list tool and Recycle.. I've basically had to become my own programmer for this teadeous work.. This has made it easier in the workflow dept. but writing these things is like splitting atoms with your thumbs...

Care to tell me where I can find some faq or help file or something?

And I do agree that live needs a good slicer, that's what live work is all about for me
The manual?

There's a version of this thing which comes with computer music, which offcourse I have. And it doesn't have a manual. :s

Ooooh. The full version has a manual. :) Yeah, that's what got me to buy it was that Computer Music version....I had their first plugin, MF-1, and I loved it...so I was already a fan, but the CM Edition really pushed me into spending the money. Bought Frantic too...they've got a great line of products. Would be nice if they put up some kind of tutorial or something. Maybe there's a video or something on their site. :?:

I liked this one a lot also. Very easy to preview some loops on the fly. Price a bit too high though.

It's worth every penny IMO. I see you're in canada though, so it's roughly twice as much for you...:(

anyway I don't care for autoslice. For me its like whats the point if I gotta go back and adjust all the slices one by one anyway. I much prefer a built in pseudo-destructive waveform editor like battery 3. And stretch is what I've been waiting to see in a drum sampler, the only other one I know is Ableton's Impulse.
well it's all about the flow in a manner of speaking, I use slicers to do things like slice and effect the individual slices of guitar and bass riffs i play, or mangle piano and rhodes passages as well as slice words and syllables out of speech and vocals, I'm a rapper so i like to slice up my verses and do alot of stuff to'em, plus a slicer is a must have when you're into the crates as much as i am, it makes creating drumkits especialy a quick and less tedius experience as i've already spent too much time digging i don't want to have to take forever just to extract a snare or kick from a sample.

Thanks for the manual.
I also noticed there's some sort of video on their site.

I'm off trying to get it to work now (it appears the cm version doesn't load local samples).

From what I see this reflex thing is what you're looking for in a slicer stale bread.

It doesn't look too different from the fl slicer, although, from what I see in the video, workflow of reflex is a bit better.
Anyway, I'm going to toy around with it a bit :)

maybe not twice but a bit higher. Right now I'm playing with live 6 beta and I know where my money goes very soon. :)

I hear you, I guess its all in how you like to work really. I don't mind setting start and end points myself. that's how I do with guru. I get more control that way and I can still work quickly.

No, the CM Edition is extremely limited. Terribly limited really...but the library it includes, especially some of those Richard Devine pieces, just make it sing to you. I can confidently say though, after purchasing the full version, that it's very in depth. Lots of options aside from the filtering...the pitch stretching is fantastic (MPEX I think), gives you 4 stereo outs to route everything through, the compressor is just extremely rude...all top-notch stuff.

Ok, hehe, I've done enough preaching here. :P

Peace 8)
