Hello there do you know where I can find some free and good quilty sounds that would work well in a cartoon e.g. Bouncing ball boing boing sound or a crunchy bite sound

Kind regards

You asked for free sounds, and these are not, but i guess i'll leave the links anyway, just to make this post less absurd.

Good luck.

Hmmm... those sampled slide flutes just don't cut it. ;)

from what i know the hanna barbara libraries are the one stop resource for those cliche cartoon sounds.... again not free! but there are a few instruments they are based on if someone wants to take the time to share - i know the bouncing ball boing sound is often the timpani with the player bending the membrane with his/her foot. there's also frequent use of the marimba for quick little cute sounds as well some flute and slide whistle. jaw harp is big too. i wish i knew them all

Yup, also vote for Hanna Barbara Libaries. So oldschool and cliche that you have to have it if you're into that kind of stuff.

As an aside, anyone into cartoon sounds/music *needs* both CDs of Carl Stalling's work for all the Bugs Bunny/Loony Tunes features. There are enough moments of sheer genius in there to give anybody a creative boost.
