I use the Cubase stock Reverb ALL THE TIME. I have Waves and others but, it is so much easier and fits very will in the mix w/o much fuss (or a degree in acoustical engineering). :D

Oops, I forgot to mention the MDE-X that comes with the Korg Legacy Edition. This plug is now a "go to" fx plug. I'm very much an instant gratification fx user...The longer it takes me to get good sounds, the less good sounds I produce (lack of patience for non-musical tasks).

No offense, but: there have been cases where reverb was not the solution to liveliness.

True. As far as effects for liveliness of drums, you might want to add some compression or minimal delays using whatever you can get your hands on.

To "add life" I guess you would want something with controllable early reflections...

Are you looking for freeware or is there a budget?

i'm not too concerned by price just something, that'll get the job done!! I do use compression, as for delays (Not sure) Is it best to do these to each individual track or is there something i can use for the whole drum mix?

my verb works pretty fair on drums. you'd generally want to avoid too much verb on a drum track though, you'll ruin it. a bit of verb certainly wont improve single sample hits played by a sequencer with perfect quantisation.
