.. its probably not going to happen, but i actually cant imagine living without Amplitube 1. i love AT2, but for excactly one sound i always need AT1.

I too doubt UB AT1 will ever happen.

the thing is: there's one preset in AT1, called "punkjazz" in the bass-preset list. thats the one i need as it became some sort of signature-sound forme when it comes to bass. i'm not sure if this can easaly be recreated with AT2. .. hmmm ..

Damn. I'd like to switch but hadn't thought of this. I use it on almost all projects, though hardly ever for guitar.

Will any non-dongle, Mac Intel - compatible amp sim sound anything like Amplitube's tube pre-amp + British 2x12 cabinet?

I hate Apple for that UB thing (and IK for not porting AT1 to UB). As I have tons of projects using AT1 and I will need to be able to open them still in a few years, I would be very interested in a AT1 UB.
If they do not, that means I must keep at least one G5 to stay backwards compatible.
