Yeah... see... I do that anyway, no matter the host. The main problem that I've seen arise with file corruption is that something weird happened and the, here's the important part: then you hit save!!!. I've almost never had a problem with file corruption once I learned to save OFTEN and save frequent new versions, despite the fact that I end up with a hopelessly huge number of generations of the same song but I've never regretted once being able to go back and salvage a project that got messed up because I saved right before I tried something like, oh, instantiate a VSTi, whacky as that may seem. FL is a Windows app. Windows has the devil inside it trying very hard to come out and ruin your day. Save often, make many version. It isn't fair but it will help you out of 99% of your migraine-inducing nightmares.
I did that even in Sonar and EXT. It's just smart practice. That can happen in any host, really.
