Just a question... Does anyone know?

Any if you do know...do you know anything about the features it will have?

Later!

I hope it will be announced at the Winter NAMM 2007 in january, with better effects suite, and brand new synths, and finally why not audio recording ?!

The only thing that I'll love to see from the developers is to release ReDrum as a VSTi, it's like Guru from FXPansion but it's a different beast ;).

I agree with all that. January NAMM would be the obvious prediction at this point, and I think they are working on something big judging by the number of new programmers they have taken on in recent months

I suspect that is unlikely. But you never know...

As always, "They vill cook it... until it's done!" :-}

I bet it'll take another year for Reason 4 judging by how long it takes them between updates. Maybe a smaller release, 3.5?

I have 3.05.
I'm just wondering when version 4 will come out, and if anyone knows of its features... 8)

what is in version 3.5? surely you mean 3.05? ;)

Well, reading on their site, it would seem that they haven't yet figured out how to optimize for multicore, so it might not be ready for some time....at least that's the way I read it.

Do you have a link for that drez?

3.5, bug fixes, better combinator action, etc.

Given their history with 2.5, their .5 upgrades are a LOT more significant than what you're describing. Not to mention, I would've upgraded to 3.5 if it indeed did exist.

all I want is audio recording. thats all I'd ask for. Because with that, I would sell my soul just to buy reason, and try to figure out how to get rid of FL.

Maximising to full screen would be nifty too, they ought to realise 800x600 kinda died off a few years ago, 8 or so.

True, but I would counter that by saying that:

1) I rather like detaching the sequencer Window and lining it alongside the rack on my widescreen display. There is then enough screen real estate for both at once.

2) Also I wouldn't want the individual modules to look larger overall - they are already at least comparable with most VST interfaces.

So enlarging the rack would in my view be a better option only if they allowed horizontal as well as vertical alignment - to follow the hardware equivalent, two racks side by side.

:hihi:

I think that, following the hardware paradigm, a virtual DAT machine in the rack would be so neat within the Reason environment. The difficult part would obviously be the need for a complete overhaul of the sequencer to incorporate the audio tracks that the DAT would record, including enough editing to keep us all happy  .
