Should be rather easy to set up Energy XT as a standalone synth rack and guitar amp module, so I can still continue using the nice PC only things.
Totally hijacking this thread, I know, but just a few days ago I fooled around with the MacBook of a colleague, and the performance using Logic was astonishing, to say the least. Should get my CPU needs sorted for a while (I'd say it'd been roughly around 4 times as powerful as my current 1.86 Pentium M laptop). Also, no need for a new audio interface, I planned on getting one of those nice Mindprint Trios anyways, and those have an optical out, perfectly fine for the MacBooks optical in.
