Mute, but not solo.
Well, in the pre-release.
On/off for the morph lfo, too.
When it's off it's fun to automate the morph slider.
As a matter of fact I've been working on making my pitchwheel control the slider so that when 2 disparate "tone" X-Y coordinates are morphed between you can kind of make a giant kick-drum tabla.
It would be perfect with Trigger Finger's aftertouch pads but I don't own one of those.

Here's a new demo that combines some Ironhead, as it is now called, and Metallurgy. A panUgoic oddity of sound
Ironhead + Metallurgy runagate demo D
Hope there's something in there you like.

Metallurgy quite exceeds my expectations, which were already very high.
It is very hard to not just run everything hrough the Metalizer Sequencer. And I just love envelope filters.
And I can't say I've ever seen an automated bitcrusher/disto that's anything like Metallurgy's. That little face scowls at me for long periods of time.
Glad you like the muzak
It's awefully fun to make - I just wish my PC was a little less shaky with that many instances of Ironhead and Metallurgy bumping at the same time.

I keep thinking of the Transformer 'Ironhide' when I read the new name.

What 'bout a Transforming Robot to be the mascot of Ironhead? I'm sure someone less crappy than I at art could throw one out.
...morphing drums, morphing robot... might be cool.

im still pushing to release it this month, but i cant say exactly when yet.liars&ashes wrote:----So when's the release party ? Ironhead in October, or next week or ?
in other news...i think my damn audio card just crapped out.
whats really bizarre is that if i listen to the noise through my headphones (while i've tried to track down the problem) within a very short while it starts to really mess up my hearing. for like 30 seconds or so after i've taken the headphones off, everything i hear sounds like its got some sort of flanging or comb filtering on it. very strange.
in any case, i dont have any spare audio cards around so it looks like i'll be off to the shops this weekend in search of an audio card. if i can find it, i think im just going to get an m-audio delta 44.
luckilly nearly all the audio related work on my new vsts is done, so this shouldnt delay the release any further. (provided i get a card this weekend.) the majority of what i have left to take care of is stuff like writing copy, web stuff, etc.

...err...don't listen to the noise thru your headphones anymore...that sounds like it's doing your hearing no good at all
...of course, that's probably preaching to the choir

In case anyone ever needs a secret super-cheap soundcard instantly while saving up for an actually good one, I got a Chaintech 7.1 card off eBay twice now.
It was like 70$ USD, has 32/96 insput or something like that, 7.1 out, and some digital lightpip something or other that I never messed with. Damn, that was a great card for the money. Too bad I can't jam it in my laptop soehow.
Damn, Ugo, that really sucks. I was afraid that was what happened to me 2 weekends ago. Some soundcard driver issue is certainly what gave me a blue screen of death on-stage the next weekend.
Why can't this shit just work? My receiver amp thing and giant assed speakers my guitar player gave me are as old as me and every single thing in them still works.
f**king planned obsolesence BS.
Sorry to be taunting you guys with demos all the time. I truly understand! Remember that I ended up making patches for Ironhead because I PMed Ugo saying something along the lines of "Although I can't think of any legitimate reason I'd be a good sound designer I do want to beg you to sell me Impact in it's beta state because I don't think I can handle waiting for it to come out!" lol. And it's not like I can afford to just go around buying VSTs that catch my fancy but I was seriously worried that I'd have to wait for it and then I'd have a brain embolism.
It rocks, did I mention that yet?
And if you listened to my demos, you have to consider what it'd be like if someone who actually had good taste in music used it.
For that matter, a big thanks to Ugo for making me realize I'd been a sound designer for a long time. I didn't realize people are always using presets - I never do except one raaaare occasions. I made a beefed up tweak of Xhip's Acid Funk that's almost still the same sound as the preset.

Yeah, my favorite Transformer being that he's an ass-kickingvurt wrote:soundwave rules!
tape deck boom box.
How 80's is that.
And one of his tapes was a robot that turned into a panther and another a vulture I think.
Obviously playing with soundwave leads to VST abuse later in life.
