Hello!I'm new to this but it looks fantastic! :tu:
Does it work with Winamp? If yes , how? :help:
Will I be able to chain my Kjaerhus Audio plugins?
If yes it's a dream becoming reality. If not, congratulations anyway!maybe some day soon...

You can use it with Christian Budde's VST host plugin or the DirectX version with AdaptX 3.5. This has been discussed on page 1 / 2 in this thread. There is also a download link.

As the Kjaerhus Audio plugins are normal VST plugins you should be able to chain them.

Lovely to see so much input being taken on board by the developer :)

1 thing though, you say you can run some plugins at 96khz while having project at 44khz, how are you getting the overall output of the chainer back down to 44khz? I mean I'd just be a little concerned about the resampling quality that's all :)

I love most vsti's at 96khz and would love to be able to run a project at 44khz whilst having the plugins that really benefit from higher sample rates running within your chainer.

All the best with this dude, and don't forget to put a donation to paypal tab in there.

Would it not be great if you could have at least a master midi input and have the plugin work as an instrument chainer as well? Most vsti instruments would really benefit from running at higher sample rates. Just 1 midi channel to controol all of the vsti instruments would be nice.

Yes. This is definitively something i'd like to see.
And this would make the hardware midi controller's owners able to load their favourite plugins in their audio editor, and tweak them using the controller.
But i asked for this, and it seems that it is currently not on the todolist... ;)

I can't see where you can set certain plugins to run at say 88/96 khz... sure someone said this possible while the host is at 44.1khz

For N.I.C :)
Just to say thank you for your advice;I sticked to it and it sounds great...At least for me,with the material available.I'm conscious that this is a sofisticated ,eventually professional forum, but I'm the end consummer. Is there any thing better than Winamp for non professional :?: Thank you once again. :tu:

@SpacemanSounds
i have never said this :P
it was just a suggestion from a tester and is not implemented in effectchainer.

the midi stuff is also not intended for now. perhaps there is one day a "Pro" version of effectchainer :wink:

@1234fd
it depends on your usage. winamp is a good player, but if you are looking for a good audio editor i can recommend you acoustica :hihi:

It's done!

EffectChainer 1.0 is now available on Acon Digital Media website.

http://www.acondigital.com/

major changes in version 1.0 (22.09.06)
---------------------------------
- child windows are now refreshed correctly
- fixed some bugs
- optimized processing
- the DirectX version of EffectChainer can handle DirectX plug-ins that change the block size during processing (e.g time scale effects) properly
- improved Acon Digital Media chain file format (saved chains from beta versions are not compatible!*)
---------------------------------

Acon Digital Media wants to thank all testers for the suggestions and feedback and hopes that you like and anjoy EffectChainer.

Althoug we stopped the implementation of new features for now, of course you are still welcome to report bugs or give feedback and suggestions to Acon Digital Media.

*in case you are in need of an saved chain from beta version do the following steps to make it compatible to 1.0 version:
- save any chain with the 1.0 version
- open this chain with a text editor and copy the file header (the text from the beginning up to the name of the first loaded plugin)
- replace the file header of your beta chain with the one you have copied
