Uh, memo to fellow Reaper users; could we avoid shitting on new users when they make comments or suggestions, even if we strongly disagree? Y'know, try the patience and friendliness thing, help a user out, maybe?

The only thing I can think of that Reaper still lacks is "snap to zero point" for samples and nothing else. Eagerly awaiting that.

Of course, but the op stated that he didn't want help, he didn't have time or even wanted to learn the program and that he wanted it built his way with complete disregard of how the program actually works. I think the answers he got were pretty tame, and even helpfull, all considering.

I still think time spent learning it would be time well spent, especially since Reaper has one of the shallowest learning curve of any audio/MIDI multitrack I've ever tried. Not to mention the friendliest licensing scheme also.

Alt+d is the key - and its operation is flakey to say the least. If you have the mixer, the fx browser, the media explorer, the FX chain for the current track, the undo history, the navigator, and the routing matrix all docked in the undocked docker, you'll find that alt+d only works for the first of those and the last three [edit: if the docker has focus, that is]. And if you do get alt+d to work, then press the FX button on a track, the docker reappears shrunk down to the size of the current fx gui.

I still think the ability to have all windows tabbed would be good (although alt+d would then make the program disappear altogther, I guess

)

I've logged these little problems on the Reaper bug page. You'd probably only encounter them on a single-monitor setup.

Jens, give the guy a break. He was just trying to suggest some improvements. You dont have to be an asshole everytime someone requests for a feature. If you dont like it, move along. If you like it, say +1. Its as simple as that.
