hi reapers,
how do i group/fold allready grouped/folded tracks
example:
6 tracks vocals are building one group/folder as a choir bus.
6 tracks drums are building another group/folder as a drum bus.
i'd like to put those two groups into a parent group/folder.
how do i do this?
thanks in advance ...

You can't but it was posted as a request so it'll probably be here sooner than later.
In the meantime, if it's only for common fader control and/or FX, you can create a new track and route both drum and vocal parent track to that one instead of the master out. You know how to access and use the matrix?

yes, maybe later i'll subscribe ...
the matrix routing works, but now i am not able to solo the individual groups anymore ...
if i f.e. solo the parent group it plays all, regardless if i solo the drumgroup in addition ... hmm ...
my fault?

You're right, same thing here. I don't know if it's by design, an oversight or just plainly a bug. I can only offer the workaround that you probably thought of already, that is to solo the track that act as parent to drums and vocals, then mute alternatively the one you don't need of the vocal and drums. It is a workaround thought, probably good to let the dev know about this.brok landers wrote:yes, maybe later i'll subscribe ...

Solo groups, and even Solo in Front, have been discussed. The trouble is exhausting all the "what if's " involved in any trick like this. Seems the REAPER way is that we all argue for a while on the forums to sort it out, then it gets built the Justin way
