For some reason some of my nki files can't be converted to any other format while some can. I experienced the same with a few gig files but most of my samples is in the nki format and I am trying to convert it to my S5000. I don't have CDXtract but I tried it on a friend's computer and it freezes. I am sure the files are not corrupted. What could be the problem? By the way, just purchased DirectGuitar and I love it.

Some NKI (Kontakt monolithic instrument) files are encrypted specifically to prevent conversion. They are tied to either Kontakt or the distributed player.

Is it possible it's a Kontakt2-format file?

These are not monolithic instruments, the wav files are on a separate folder. I am using Kontakt 2. Can't kontakt 2 files be converted?

Chicken System Translator won't convert NKI files
