I highly doubt that it is dynamic convolution as this method is patented by sintefex. What it is instead is kind of "multisampled" convolution, that is, not in dynamic layers but it frequency layers that are interpolated to allow smooth frequency and gain adjustments (that is, not stepped knobs).

im no dev, so i may be wrong or confusing semantics. but hydratone doesnt seem to have a smooth proportional response change with each new setting.
