O.k., I guess I am asking an obvious question: Now that there will be 15 REX packs, will there be 3-packs (like with some other libraries at esounds) if one would like to buy several of these packs?

Oh, and one question regarding the Studio Pro Files: From what I have read, they have multi tracks in WAV format and also Stereo Rex files? But how about multi track Rex files? Should be easy to implement if you already have multi track recordings, and I love the way how some of the Stylus RMX stuff is organized - they have the individual loop elements in different files, so that you can mix'n'match them inside Stylus. Just curious...

P.S.: Thanks to Jorge for his fantastic customer support. I can't wait to receive my Ampeg SVX from you... :)

Oh that's good news you got all sorted with Jorge.

To answer your questions... no 3 packs are planned. However we are going to do a Rex Pak Gold bundle with all 15. However, there's also the possibility to upgrade to it if you've bought a few of them already.

We are doing multi-track REX although it actually ISN'T easy to do. We had to write proprietary software in order to be able to line up the slices for each mic to retain it's relative time relationship. We're talking about multi-track drums with mics. If you are talking about the way Stylus does multiple layers of drum elements then that's different. You can do that already with things like RAW and the stereo Rex Paks. They are designed to be layered and some of them come already as "construction kits" (like Stylus RMX) and they all come where you mix and match them yourself. They are also designed for easy drag and drop support with Stylus RMX (going by the RMX Rex import rules).

As far as the multi-track drums (with separate mics for mixing) goes, these titles don't line up directly with the stereo titles and there are a lot of stereo loops that don't have a multi-track counterpart. But, we'll still allow easy upgrades from the titles that relate if you own them. For instance, Vintage Rock contains stereo loops that come from several different multi-track session titles. If you owned Vintage Rock stereo Rex Pak then you could get a discount on either or both of the multi-track rock titles coming out... just for example. I know it will be easier to discuss when they are released. Some could start coming out as early as October. There may be a few surprise changes that we've made but I think you guys will like it. More options, more formats etc.

Oh now there's a surprise. Imagine, you guys making changes that we would like and offering more of something and discounts

I really liked the Studio ProFiles SE and I'm anxiously awaiting Ed Greene and Steve Gadd titles.

BUT...I have to say for pure inspiration that RAW is just an amazing thing. Hardly a day goes by that I don't listen to some of the rex files and try to decide how to put them together into something new...and because they ARE rex files I can :)

I load them into Kontakt, mess with them and play them back against each other...it's too much fun...

FR: Next edition, less drum loops more instrument loops...those acoustic guitars are killer...
Play what you feel and feel what you play.

hi squids,
any time frame set for the rex pak bundle?
:)

Oh Beer, if you like the acoustic guitar riffs then the one to get is "Country Folk Rhythms". It's more of those sessions and there are some REALLLLLLLL gems on that one. Tons of different instrument riffs too on dobro, mandolin... it's one of the best and I highly recommend it. This will be on line this week along with the others.

The Rex Pak Gold should be on line/for sale by the end of this week. It's all 15 titles for $499 (list price so less on esoundz or any SR dealer). Of course normally that would be over $1,000 (multiplying $70 X 15) to get all 15 so it is kind of a "buy 7 get 8 more free" kind of thing (or each one ends up being just $30. kind of thing... wow when you look at it that way it is kind of THE way to go!!!!! Haha, seriously though. That is CHEAP!!!! In fact it's even less than $30 each because of your esoundz or dealer discount).

Anyway, if I am allowed to talk about our products as a user (I do anyway all the time) I have to say that I really do love RAW and use it a lot. It's really fun and I agree with you Beergeek that the instrument riffs are particularly fun. There are so many interesting FAST things you can do by combining instrument riffs, bass lines and even chordal things, pads etc. It's almost endless what could possibly be cool for each person's track. However, this is the goal of esoundz LOOP CLUB. Talk about "sample everything", we have over 25,000 loops being added to Loop Club before the end of the year!!!! That includes all kinds of instrument loops. But, there's also something else we're going to be doing as well with Loop Club... it's a secret for the moment but I think some of you will literally jump for joy about it! Something pretty cool (so cool I can't wait to say but I have to).

At the moment, the loops in Loop Club are not from the Paks or RAW except for a few. We're adding an icon that tells you if you already own the loop from a main product that it's from (if it is from a product, some are just for loop club... many are in fact). Well, it only knows if you own the loop if you bought the product from esoundz (one of the benefits of esoundz database cross-referencing). For instance, if you bought RAW and the loop was from RAW it would be grayed out and say "you already own this loop". You can still download it again for convenience but it will use up your credits (not much though).

Anyway, in Loop Club we have extended session loops from RAW right now. So, things that didn't go into RAW but were possibly going to are in Loop Club right now. You know new loops are automatically added everyday? Think about it... 365 days of the year new loops are being added. It's a pretty serious monster. Oh, we're adding tons of Apple Loops and also SampleTank format loops to Loop Club very soon as well.

Squids wrote: 9 new Rex Paks are being announced by next week and the good news is that they will be shipping next week as well! That makes 15 style-based Rex collections each with 400-600 24 bit loops on them for only around fifty bucks each (street price). These are different than the 5,000 RAW loops in Rex, Apple Loops and Wave that are for EVERY style (like a loop workstation) that's here: http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?ProductID=1412 RAW is now shipping as well. Official announcement of that is in this week's press release.

A lot of new Sonic Reality products coming out this month and the months to follow!
