We apologize for the inconvenience. Please try again later, as there will be another beta phase starting soon.
Is that the message you got? Mine said:

I like how they take your email address before telling you there is no download.

You can download it via http://www.ableton.com/pages/beta/download
The Beta is now open for everybody. Just go to www.ableton.com/beta and follow the "Click here to get your beta serial number" link. .
Or just wait a couple o' hours so they sort it out.

Yeah, it's like those "you've been selected to get a free iPod" ads. To my shame, I was bored at work one day and thought I'd see what it was all about. I just wanted to know if they'd really send it. So I filled in everything with bogus information, declined the five or six pages of Columbia House/LoseYourFatAssWithPills programs, then finally got to the page where you HAVE to enroll in two of the offers. Oddly, it didn't know whether I'd done anything or not and allowed me to click through. There was yet another page of HAVE TOs. lol. By the time anyone signs up for all those "good deals" you'd be better off with a shotgun in your mouth and nice epithet on your tombstone.

i have a question (after trying out the demo and this new beta):
does live have some kind of groove quantization for audio (or midi)?
i like to put my drum samples on audio clips in the session view and then play/record them into arrangement view. then i consolidate them (or how you call it).
now, it would be great if you could apply some sort of quantization to this 'audioblock'(that you have extracted from other audio or midi before, like mpc groove templates). this isn't possible at the moment, right?
it is possible in reason and cubase with midi (in cubase you can even extract it out of audio). it would be great if live had this sort of thing, because i'm much faster with live, there is less clicking.

Hmmmm. I was just messing around a bit and i must say there is a smoother flow to Live6. I do like the rack with it's Macros, i just have to figure out how to set an fx to affect the whole chain and not just a specific instrument placed before it (although that is a nice option as well).
I managed to get the audio from an AVI movie clip but not the actual image but if i remember correctly, only quicktime movies work with L6. Have to look into it.
A BIG lifesaver for me is a request i made a looong time ago, where each cell within Impulse can be set to the browser for quick sample selection as opposed to drag n drop.
I do like it but it's not worth the upgrade fee IMHO. I feel this is more like Live 5.5.
I'll try the freeze updates tomorrow.
Check out this quick groove using macros within the rack:

Kinda weird that they'd want the whole world to beta test this.
I mean, think of the 10,000,000 bug reports and false alarms they'll get.
