quick question re. CUBASE VST 5

Can it import tracks from cd directly, or do I have to record them somewhere else and import them as wav files? If it can, how is it done? I haven't used it in ages and I cannot find any import from cd menu?....

Come on, I know some people still use it!

IT can import WAV files, but not CDs directly. First rip them with CDex or something like that, then import.

Wavelab can import CD tracks directly, but not VST5,
