toddyjoe wrote:Audio on Linux is fun. I use a customized version of Puppy Linux with a low-latency kernel that I made just for audio work. If you want to try the new Rosegarden with DSSI support and are not adverse to giving Puppy a try, I made a binary package for the new Rosegarden which you can download over at the Puppy Linux forum. There are also about forty other binary packages I made for other programs that you can download, including Muse, Ardour, JACK and Qjackctl, JACK RACK, TkEca-Ecasound, Hydrogen, Specimen, Vkeybd virtual keyboard, a DSSI VST host, sample and Soundfont players and editors including Swami and Fluidsynth-Qsynth, a ton of synths and drum machines including Hexter, Spiral Synth and ALSA Modular Synth, etc. Have fun!
sounds very interresting joe. Thanx for your work.

i will drop a line too:

im using pclinuxos, cause its easy to install amd configure, dont care about low-latency-things, cause all audio apps works fine the way it is, and im using vst- and vsti-s in linux without problems, cause REAPER works nice with wine :)
