looking for a free one with short delay that will pan the wet signal. ie., dry part full left, delay full right.

That, my friend, is a surprisingly tall order. I can't think of anything off the top of my head...you can't pan the source and use a hard-panned send?

If you've got eXT (which seems likely based on your sig), you can send the dry signal to channel 1 on a mixer, the wet signal to channel 2, and pan them as you like.

bduffy, i played with the classic for awhile and didn't make it work, maybe you know how.

warmonger, i'm getting bad crackling from ext, so i'm trying to avoid it until ext2. but any host can work so i think i'll just have the delay on a send and pan it. its just i like using delay as an insert.

thx!

You can always use eXT as a VST inside your host. But I guess if you want to use a send, that's fine too.

Slim Slow Sliders CatDelay might work for you. I think you can find a link for it if you search around here a bit.

Should be able to do what you want. Not entirely free, though.

No panning of the input.

I wonder why that plugin isn't listed?? And is Betabugs a magware-only company now? :P

No panning, per se, but each channel has separate wet and dry sliders. I was thinking along the lines of setting one side fully wet and the other fully dry.

Or are you looking to mono-ize a stereo signal, run that through a delay, then send the (monoized) dry to one side, and (mono) wet to the other side ?

I think voxengo tempo delay does this http://www.kvraudio.com/get/444.html

i have that, cool plug, but it can't do what i want, unless i'm missing something.

i used to do this all the time on my vs880ex with an inserted delay, no prob. there must be a plug that can do it

If you really want to do it in a plugin, you could build it yourself in Synthedit. It wouldn't be very difficult to do.

Spent a long time on this one myself - what worked for me is panning the dry signal L(ie), set-up aux/bus channel sending that signal to a track panned R, and insert a (mono to stereo) delay on the aux track with whatever setting you want - if you're trying to get that thickening (Haas delay) about 17-35ms.
I tried many free delays, BT Long delay was free to me via Nomad Factory that worked best(may be to all - not sure), Big Tick Hexaline worked too, but was a little tricky.
The closest freebie I could find that had a similar effect is KlangLabs Multiband StereoFaker - not quite the same, but play with the presets - it can divide up the frequencies, and does some cool things.
