Slowly I keep thinking more and more of using a Nix system to do audio but like many of you I don't want to loose my VSTs.

So I think I am going to give it a try as soon as I getting another hard drive to throw into my computer as a test bed.

I see a lot of mention of Linux distro's but I am a die hard FreeBSD fan and have been using it on servers for longer than I can remember. Anyone here use/try Rosegarden on FreeBSD?

Well answered my own question. Seems there are issues with the FreeBSD kernel that can cause timing problems with JACK.

Figured I would post that incase anyone else needed the info

yes, and i think something wrong with alsa too. Use PCLinuxOS, if you want to use linux, but this is just my opinion.
