I love the sound of Ohmboyz, its mixture of delay and resonant filter is gorgeous; anybody has succeded in getting such a sound using one (or more chained) free effects?

the resonant effect comes from setting a verty short delay and long feedback with the option of a filter...automate the delay amount to "play" the effect

Could I do it for example with E-Phonic Retrodelay?
Do you know of some plugin with useful presets in this regard?

I think maybe Varikus is thinking of Ohmygod (???) the comb filter type plugin. If not, sorry Varikus.

The delay and resonant filter effect can be done with Retrodelay - it has all that you need and can produce similar effects.

Yes, I've seen the group buy but for 2006 my budget has gone - Dimension Pro + Firebird + DiscoDSP Discovery

Yes, Retrodelay can do it. The filter is perhaps not quite as nice but add some eq and you can get quite close. It has LFO on the filter and does nice "endless delays".

I went thru all my fx plugins in the past week and re-discovered Retrodelay, very nice plugin that stays in the delay folder. Can do some crazy retro space sounds when you modulate the delay time.

Try to find Echotank II by ArcDev. Turn your feedback up to 50%, turn your resonance up to 50% and then turn your monitors down to 1%
