Any other than me here that think there's too few Philharmonik userdemos?

I've searched this forum, northernsounds, and generally googled the internet, but without any luck...

I posted two Basil Poledouris' Conan-music mockups on this board about a year ago, but haven't got around making much more due to non-orchestral studio-work...

People of the world! Post your userdemos... And for the others: Miroslav is a great tool and now with the studio-bundle offer they practically throws it after you... You'd be a sucker not to buy!

Just wanted to express my thoughts here... :hihi:

Haha. I agree Shantar. Also, I don't think my Dvorak demo was bad at all listening back. If I had a better response from the picky ones I might have gone on to do more! Just kidding. I will do more and we'll perhaps even do a demo making contest soon. That would be a fun thing to do in this forum don't you think?

Yeah, a demo making contest would be just what this forum needs!

I would love to participate in a demo-making contest - contests and competitions are really fun, as long as they are over a sufficiently short period of time (it's painful when you get excited and finish your entry early, leaving weeks to go before you get to put it to the test).

I've (quite luckily, and delightfully) had a lot of work recently scoring for some independent games - here's a track where I used a lot of Philharmonik: http://www.tjhsst.edu/~alederer/Music/R ... o_Cave.mp3 (everything but the percussion and the synths is Philharmonik).

I'm not the biggest proponent of Philharmonik itself, but putting aside all the negative aspects of the software/support/technology, I really appreciate the sound of the samples themselves (once properly manipulated/processed) now that I'm pretty familiar with the whole package - I hope the demo I posted (along with the rest of them I and others have been/are/will be creating) helps someone curious about the library to figure out what it sounds like.

Hey, do you know what would help here?

Maybe including a description of how many instances, combis, patches, etc were used in each piece.

At first I was turned off by Miro and couldn't get it to function decently. Now I am seeing it's potential through the special way that it assigns macros, velocity switching, etc...

But it would still help tremendously to grasp an insight at how any demos were created as far as patches and programming goes.

Just a thought, all - thanks for letting me share.

I've made plenty of songs using Miroslav Philharmonik, but I guess I just never advertised them as using that sample library...
