I need control over velocity curves

Is there a VST effect that will intercept incoming MIDI, allow me to choose a velocity curve (or make one), and then simply allow the MIDI signal to continue along its merry way into a VSTi?

If not, is there someone willing to look into this? It would be great if it also allowed you to re-route various control messages graphically.

Looks like what I need, but it doesn't appear to be a VST.

Oh man, it's no wonder people give up on computer music!

This is getting closer, but appears to just filter rather than scale.

Oh, didn't see your post! I was busy trying to solve my own problem. That's a nice link and I really appreciate it.

Shane, do you use Energy XT? Should be a piece of cake to set up something like this.
Besides, the sequencers I'm familiar with (Logic and Cubase) allow for manual editing of velocity curves.
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

I have FLS and eXT. If one of these programs that I've found doesn't work, I'll see what eXT has to offer. I'm just really poor at figuring this sort of thing out.

My goal is to have new real-time curves on my ztar (StarrLabs.com). There's new software for my instrument that adds new curves, but I don't wanna spend the dough to mail it to San Diego and then wait a couple of months to get it back. I'm kind of in a playing phase right now and would sorely miss it.

btw, there's a used ztar on ebay if you didn't see my post about it. You'd love it.

You have the solution in your back pocket.. THere are many ways of setting up either one or both of these in tandum to solve your issue. In FL try creating automation clips, then (and hears the kicker) create your velocity curve in the playlist and go back to the automation clip in the step sequencer.. Now play the curve (or copy midi notes into it) as you would any other instrument!! eXT has also has a lot of options for this.. One simple setup is to use the build in envelope plugin.. HTH
