In cubase SX2 I can hold alt+shift to make a copy of a midi part, where then if I change some notes they all update.

If I then at a later stage choose 'Edit', 'Covert to Real Copy' I can separate them for individual note changes. Is there any way to reverse this function, so that I can select some identical midi clips so that I can again edit one to change all notes?

Thanks

I can't think of anything. Why don't you just do your changes in one midi clip and copy it? No big hassle (provided they are identical).
If you can't beat your computer at chess, try kick-boxing.

Have you tried using "ghost copies" of the original part, then any changes made to the original part are reflected in the ghost copies. This was a cool feature in Cubase on the Atari.not sure if it's still in SX though... ?
I don't have anything against gravity but it really does weigh me down

I'll just have to delete and ghost to edit one to edit all :?
