Hello,
I finally was able to develop an algorithm that removes any kind of reverberation (except very strongly modulated).
If you guys would like to demo the technology, post a file with a vocal or so, with a long reverb preferably.
Thanks

Try that. I'm very interested to hear the results.

Ditto! If you can remove ambient reflections from bad location recordings, you're my new best friend! Here's a sample for you (normal reverb, I'll see if I can find an ambient reflection example):

I'll post the results in some hours. I'm not on my "music" computer. Anyway bduffy, I use an algorithm witch allows me to detect different kinds of reverberations: Early reflections or tails (in tails mode it also includes ER -> removes both).

Question: does it also work on mono recordings?pluginnow wrote:I finally was able to develop an algorithm that removes any kind of reverberation (except very strongly modulated).

Judging on your track record it would be quite amazing if you indeed succeded in this.
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

This will be a godsend for me, if it works, becuase I sometimes get interviews that were recorded on location and have annoying reverb/reflections in them.

Wow
At another degree,( present or future ), of quality, would it be concievable to remove natural reverberation from a stereo soundtake ?
That would be really INSANE !!!!

If you've managed to make a plugin that removes all reverbation from a full mix with all kinds of different sounds going on, without affecting sound quality, I'll eat my hat!

Guys,
For those that doesn't believe on this thing, you'll need to wait a few more hours.
I'll post the results in the "normal" mode, witch is not in the highest quality.
Oh yes, it works in mono too. Just the pianos are difficult to tame. Thats the hardest instrument to get "cleaned".
