Lo chaps :-)

Since Directwave can import gigastudio, exs24, soundfonts, battery kits and (some) kontakt samples - there should be a wealth of free or low cost sounds out there.
I have never had access to gig, exs24 or nki files before, so maybe the community can pitch in with some good downloads and sites ?

I'll start us off ....

Mats Helgessons 400Meg Concert Grand Piano in gig format - bittorrent site http://www.sampletorrents.com/details.p ... ef24feb7bc

Project SAM free Orchestral samples in gig format - http://www.projectsam.com/freesounds.html

it sounds nice , but it takes hours to load

Post

yeah - takes around a minute to load on my machine. quite a mellow piano - not one for a house tune :D - more a reflective piece.

Post

ps - that piano is actually nearer 950 meg uncompressed. it's a 400 meg RAR file :-o

By default this is in the path Samplefusion\Data\Packs\Samplefusion under the DirectWave folder.

You can change this by setting the "Content path" in the DW options.

Note that this will be a setting in the download selector in the next version (so it can be shared with FL Studio).

That may explain why I was finding downloads in different locations.

Also, it didn't matter that I used C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Vstplugins\DirectWave\SampleFusion in the files location box. They didn't show up until I used C:\Program Files\Image-Line\FL Studio 6\Data\Patches\Packs\Samplefusion

What if you used "C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Vstplugins\DirectWave"?

Just tried. Even with a restart, no deal.

Weird.

Is this with the latest version of the downloader (1.0.16)?
