Out of curiosity i ran a little test with FL STUDIO 6 and CUBASE SX 3!...I imported the same loop into both hosts at the same tempo. Cranked up the volume too 100% in Fl studio or 0DB...Did the same in Cubase...Volume at 0db.......no effects.....no eq....no limiter.....no normalization....NOTHIN!!!! Both master chennels in both hosts were at 0db

Rendered both files as a wav at 44.1khz 16 bit..

Heres what FL STUDIO 6 sounded like

Explain to me...Why is one louder and more full sounding...That being the cubase one if i kept both volumes at the same exact level and rendering at the same exact quality???????

Is the FL studio sound engine a tad weak????

To answer your question... the FL one is -3dB quieter.

1. Load both files into audacity.
2. Amplify the FL one by 3dB.
3. Invert the FL one.
4. Quick mix.
5. Silence.

there is just one sample in your folder benny bonez
and i think we have enough talking about this subject numerous test have been made already and there is no perceptible differences if there is

To be fair, I'm not entirely sure. I can't find an option in the wave export settings that would cause the -3db change on output. Hmn, maybe ask on LoopTalk, though gol might input some ideas.

When you imported the wave into an Audio Clip in FL, was the channel volume (NOT the mixer strip volume) at 100%? I think it's 78% or something by default.

i didnt actually import the loop into an Audio Clip.....i just put it in the sequencer....hmmmmmm...sorry to bring this topic up again guys!!...Im just so curious as to why this happens!!!

Yes, but when you drag a WAV (loop or otherwise), FL adds an Audio Clip to the channels dialogue inside it's own Audio Clips folder. The default volume will not be 100% on import.

gotcha....instead i just imported the loop into the sequencer and turned the volume up all the way....from 78% to 100%.....and the mixer channel volume was at 100%....same as the master volume on top....100%.........but cubase seems to be louder......with both channel and master volumes up to 100% in cubase.....

just very strange to me how the fl rendering came out -3db quiter!...

gonna post on the FL msg board to find out why!!!

by the way while i am waiting for you to post it on looptalak did you never thought the problem the other way
Why cubase is 0.3db louder than the normal ?
