No, it is not valid anymore.. But let me some little time to make the group buy available (if you can wait, for sure..).Overflow wrote:Fantastic EQ. -20% discount still valid?
o.
So much work these times.. And I can't stop myself reading and posting here !!
Let's say that I am an addict, and that I must cure myself..
Anyway, here are the conditions for the group buy,
the number of participants, and the correponding reduction :
1-9................5 %
10-19............10 %
20-29............15 %
30-39............20 %
40-49............25 %
50-69............30 %
70-119...........35 %
120-199.........40 %
200-299.........45 %
300+..............50 %
Plus an additional 10% off for the first 30 buyers, and 5% off for the 31th to 100th buyer.
The group buy period will be from october 1st to october 31st, and this will be the first and last one group buy for AirEQ !

Eliosound

Sounds like a good deal
How exactly does it work in terms of purchasing, do we have to click on a specific 'group buy' link so we're counted as one of the names, and give our credit card details straight away but, aren't billed until the periods over and percentage reduction calculated?
I've never done a group buy thing before so am unfamiliar with the process.

Other group buys seems to work like that : there is a pre-order with the amount of the minimal price that can be reached, so each participant can enter his personnal data and take part to the group buy.Arksun wrote:Sounds like a good deal

At the end of the group buy, according to the reduction level reached for the group buy, participants will be asked to log in again and to complete the initial amount if it is needed.
Unfortunately we can not bill the initail amout with a delay, because we do not have access to the credit card number, which on the other hand is more secure for us and for the customer.
I'll do ! I'm just finishing and polishing the online web system for the groupbuy !!bduffy wrote:Did you submit a News item at KVR also?

Cool - you're going to need maximum visibility! Are there any other places where they eat up Group Buys? Gearslutz? Logic-Users?Eliosound wrote:Other group buys seems to work like that : there is a pre-order with the amount of the minimal price that can be reached, so each participant can enter his personnal data and take part to the group buy.Arksun wrote:Sounds like a good deal

I know !! Unfortunately I will be in the AES convention for the beginning of the group buy, so my time here will be shortened, but I hope that those who want to get AirEQ for a minimal price will also spread the news !!bduffy wrote:Cool - you're going to need maximum visibility! I'll see if I can spread the word. I want everyone to have a chance at this EQ, and you should be richly rewarded for your creation!

Quick question Fabrice... AMLT is a very awesome piece of technology, however I'm just wondering why it is that it only matches the analogue reference curve up to 20khz and not up to nyquist?
Obviously the difference in sound would be negligible, but was 20khz a design choice or a limitation of the technology involved?
Cheers

In fact we choose to not match the AMLT curves up to the Nyquist frequency because it would have taken a little more CPU to achieve, and additional time to develop, without any real interest for music. Obsiously it would have been interesting for bats, but not for humans !
As a perfectionnist, I don't say that we will never match the curves up to the Nyquist frequency, we'll certainly do, first for the beauty of the thing, secondly because we will certainly release other versions of the AMLT technology, with new features and possibilities ; and at least because we still could make improvements on the CPU taken by AMLT, which will be implemented in AirEQ in a next (and free) update.
But, as usual, it will take us a lot of time and efforts to achieve !!
Fabrice,
Eliosound.

Feel free to spread the news, I will be in the AES convention next week, so I'll have less time to be here on KVR...
But I'll drop an eye at least one time a day !
And remenber : the more you will be, the less you will pay !!
