It gets on the nerves of people to make a new pattern for each little edit. With the new change you wont have to. I love pattern-based sequencing though so I'll probably never use it, except for the rare cases when the pattern-based way of sequencing shows it's fatal flaw: you can't have a note at the end of a pattern connect to a note at the front. I think with the new way you can handle patterns you can connect the notes more easily.Jason Brian Merrill wrote:right. but what is the benefit? The Chase wrote:People who dont like pattern-based hosts but love FL Studio will love this one.Jason Brian Merrill wrote:and it looks like an uber cool feature, but what is the benefit of pattern clips?

Because registered users have paid for the privilege. This is in Beta, so it's not for general release. In the past registered users have complained that they should see things first. So JMC listened. From now on registered users will get to play with beta versions of the next release several months prior to the general public.Jason Brian Merrill wrote:why is a picture only for regged users? eheh

Smoke and mirrors... You still can't edit midi in the play list. Visual pleasing- yes. Fuctional- no.
Give the user more control of the midi editing already...

I would personaly prefer an old playlist idea with folders that someone in the fl forum had suggested, to this pattern clips thing.

This playlist clips are nice for tidying up an old project but still awkward and confusing as the project now splits between patterns and clips and they behave a lot different.

I agree with gassle. This wouldnt get me out of my current workflow.. It seems like a very easy to do feature.gassle wrote:I would personaly prefer an old playlist idea with folders that someone in the fl forum had suggested, to this pattern clips thing.
