aight i really need extra cash...so i came up with an idea...but im not sure if it would be legal or not...

im REAL good at making loops n such....so i was thinkin of making my own sample library to sell....and doing it, i would be using softsynth's...is this legal??? or would i have to have permission from the creators of the softsynths to do so???

Post

who would have thought with a name like loopdigga a legality issue would arise?

I think what you are talking about is totally legal, providing you arent multisampling one hits or something.

Melodys, beats, weird noises, its all loop material... (original of course)

Don't use any rompler-softsynths, or synths made up with pcm-sounds. That will cost your ass!

Safeaim is correct. One cannot copyright an LFO but can indeed copyright PCM data. Making riffs from copy protected PCM data and then selling said riffs, would also be an infringement. We are working on a major synth release and everything has to be original PCM!

In any case, here's wishing you great success with your project!!
