logic - has this ever happened to anyone..

im using logic 5.5 on the pc and reactor 5 and have been doing for years.

whenu bounce a drum machine loop from massive or limelite and bring back in the audio, its not recording the proper length.

this is what i do:

choose a instrument track, insert reackor, choose ememble, pick massive drum machine, solo channel, bounc eto audio. bringin audio, and its all out of sync and time, doesnt loop propably.

can anyone pls suggest anything, its driving me mad!!! thanks

Yes, record the take 3 times (meaning let the loop play for 3 full passes), and trim up the beginning and end to fit perfectly. Logic never gave me tight timing when I tried to do that on the PC. It was always a pain in the ass.

the problem is more likely to be due to Reaktor, I have this problem all the time. Reaktor seems to often 'miss' the first beat of the first bar (when I say miss, I should say mute as the timing is correct) - but then it also adds some extra silence or part of a hit to the end, you can edit it in a wave editor to correct that. Pain in the arse really...

Now I remember what I also used to do (sorry, it's been a few years since I've used it). Start the song at bar 9 but let it preroll through multiple measures instead to get rid of the timing problem.

thanks everyone for the advice. prob is its just started happening, i could record limelite spot on everytime, i moved my pc into a new studio and it just doesnt record like it used to. its sooo annoying. i will try what everyone said but it should work and i dont see why it isnt. its actually recordingthe wav outof sync cos i tried playingback from midi and audio, it used to be 100% insync now its out. any ideas?
