No, I'm not getting paid for it. What about you?Kingston wrote:who is this guy and why does he keep trolling every single cubase thread? agenda? is he getting paid for it?
Still, it is so reassuring to know when the needle's getting through the fanboy camel's eye.

I'm actually just wondering what your problem is.
seems you have nothing good to say to anyone, anywhere.
goodbye.

can we kept like temporary bans - where people are not allowed to enter certain kinds of thread
so bones cant talk about macs and hana can't talk about cubase etc
I guess it'll never happen - i just dont know what hana hopes to do ?
freedom of speech is really important - but there comes a point where someones bizarre ranting just becomes irritating white noise
so much as it runs against the grain I have my first mute -ho hum

I believe every thread should devolve into character attacks and witch-burning. It really helps the discussion.

Not true, they'll work fine in Vista. Admittedly not in a 64-bit host, but nor will (almost) all existing VSTs. (I recall Izotope having a press release about 64-bit versions, Cakewalk has ported some stuff, that's about it).correct me if I'm wrong but none of these will work in vista (or 64 bit computing)
This account is dormant, I am no longer employed by FXpansion / ROLI.

When you've bashed Steinborg for as long as I have, you can read the signs. They dick about with the install base (like throwing out 98SE and then W2K support) you know there's an avalanche of bugs in the puppy. They change the versioning regime (drop VST, go SX, drop SX go '4') you know there's massive compatability problems in the pipeline. But not even in my wildest dreams did I imagine they'd cram so many awlful, bad marketing decisions into a single release. What is there not to rail at? Where does one begin?
I have NEVER seen the levels of outrage at Steinborg.NOT that you can see today. The UK phone lines to Arbiter are jammed, presumably with pre-orders trying to cancel - there are plenty saying they have/will.
This is going to be very smelly indeed in Hamamatsu.
PS. And as a former user, I know first hand, the thing with Steinborg is not the despair, you can cope with the despair, it's the hope. It's the version that is to come. One day that bug will be fixed, you live in hope. This version is crushing people's hopes. I think DX was a bravado too far, and if I know Charlie, he'll never admit he was wrong.

This version is crushing people's hopes.
Yeah, we're all absolutely devastated. The fact I can't use any crappy old DX plugins...errrr...that I didn't use anyway for several years...will really stop me making any music with Cubase4. In fact Cubase4 is so bad, it doesn't even resemble a s/w host anymore - I suspect I'll keep forgetting, and try to use it for word-processing.
As full-of-shit goes. You're about to explode in a very messy way. I suggest Sennokot to get it all out of your system, mate.
Arbiter lines are full ar they? Presumably it's people ordering Cubase4. It must really irritate you that the majority still choose to use Steinberg products. I don't know why, but it obviously does.
As again...non-Steinberg users make the most noise. Pathetic.

Exactly.I feel bashing in general is getting more and more fashionable. 20 years ago you defined yourself to your peers by the stuff you like - nowadays lots of people seem to define themselves by the hate they share about certain things.
Sad that he feels he's so cool by the amount that he hates.
You wouldn't mind if it was even funny. But we just get a sad hater without even a sense of humour.

Well, Magix got Samplitude well renamed too: from red cocks or socks, i owned it but lucky me i managed to forget, to the actual name: Samplitude.
Which for instance doesn't run on apples and i believe the Win 98 support is long gone.
There is not about a version there is to come, dumbass, this is about planning and developing, integration with modern machines and setting new standarts... That wahat i like about Steinberg, no matter how things go wrong, like the update before SX 3.1.1.944, I feel like i'm working with the most innovative and contributive developers in bussiness.
I already know you think otherwise but let me tell you as former user of Red cocks\socks\rooster[?!) finding Nuendo 1, was like a true revelation. Fun and PC's were compatible after all, i could get things done, no worries. Samplitude: i want a refund!

And lo, sayeth the lord, those that shall have shall vomit forth their folly and they that have not haveth not the vomit. So who gives a f**k as long as the fanboys act up? Not me. Ooo missus.
