Still no host preset support, so it's useless to me unfortunately.

Too bad, I really liked the sound just flipping through presets.

What do you mean excatly by this? What host are you using?
All HERCs instruments use an internal preset management system.

I'm using Sonar 5 Producer. I save all my presets as host presets. There's a small window in the top left of every plugin's screen created by the host. I just type a name, click a button, and it saves. It's more convenient to do it this way, since I don't have to learn the internal preset management function of every plugin I use (I have ~100 I use actively). Whenever I save a preset in abakos as a host preset, abakos resets it to the default preset.

I think all host presets do is remember a set of NRPNs and send them to the synth whenever a preset is selected. What might be happening is theres an NRPN assigned to the preset box, and the host preset sends a value to select an internal preset, thus defaulting all values.

The only solution I could think of would be to assign the internal preset selector to the lowest NRPN, that way it resets the default values first, then makes whatever changes is saved in the host preset.

You'd think more plugins would have this issue if this were the case, but abakos seems to be the first one.

hth.

We'll look into it.

Abakos is unlike many other plugins in this respect. It is not a fault. The HERCs synthesis engine handles presets in it's own way independent of any host. Some find this a boon, but for you it is a problem. We shall look into it, as I said. There may be an easy way around it.

The trouble with fxp is I have to manage directories and what not.

With host presets it's just click and save. That's it.

It's like the difference between typing in notes in the piano roll and actually playing a vst with a controller. You can make and save variations at a creative pace.

No problems. We know that people had issues with it in previous versions so we fixed it.

Not a bad synth at all! The initial cpu seemed high 12% as soon as you start the plug, But even playing full chords doesn't make the cpu rise more that 1% above that. SO the cpu hit is really very good indeed! And there are more than enough very good patches to make this synth a winner! Well done, this is a keeper!

PS: And Vera's GUI,s are the best! Nothing beats them!

You know I've used Abakos a lot in the past so this will be a pleasure to try out today.

Is this an appropriate place to ask what the situation is with the lovely Viktor?
