I just put both .dll's in my Windows dir and it worked fine in FL.

But where's that beautiful scope from ScansynthGL gone?

ScanSynthGL is another synth (by mdsp)
It's not the same one

Nice job with the skinning, seems to suffer from a denormal bug in FL. Shoots up to 70% CPU or more when you let it sit for awhile after any sound output. Can't remember if the previous version did this or not.

it's crashing when opening the GUI in eXT no matter where I put the libpng.dll

Under eXT it crashes to desktop whenever you try to open the gui, as already reported.
Under Phrazor it doesn't crash but I'm unable to open the gui either ("failed to load background").
The presets I managed to hear do sound awesome

Looking forward to see the gui

just downloaded this,ive been waiting for a version with gui,and i cant get the gui to show,although the vst is working.im on sx 2.

is there anything specific i need to do with the libpng .dll file?

Looks like quite a few people are having problems with their hosts. The plugin actually generates a file called scanned_synth.log which should be created in the VST plugins folder. It would be really helpful if anyone who is having problems could e-mail me this file at feedback@humanoidsounds.co.uk along with as much info as possible about what happened and what software you are using. This should help me with a diagnosis.

I have now updated the installer so that it installs the libpng13.dll and zlib1.dll files into the Windows system directory and put it on the site. I am planning to statically link these libraries so that this is no longer necessary.

ive redownloaded the new version but im still getting a gui error message saying failed to load background png? this only happens when loaded as a vsti where as before i was getting a error message while cubase was booting up as well as when selecting the vst i.

although the libpng13.dll and zlib1.dll are now installed in the windows system32 folder and NOT in vst folder(as stated above)

Guess i need to follow the white rabbit, thanx btw. I'm dL'ing the new version now, i liked it when the thread was first started. After fiddling with knobs i accidently duplicated the sound fx used in the Depeche Mode song "A Pain That I'm Used To". I guess i should say the sound at the very beginning. thank you John for the uniquely conceptualized plug
