Yes it is. Its about a couple of problems I have had related to buying Sonar6. Or do you have a link where Ben specifically says posts about ordering and buying hosts are not permitted in the forum about hosts?

Learn to read. It was about two different things, both of which relate to ordering and buying a host, which, unless you want to try and prove otherwise is perfectly valid in this forum, and occurs all the time.

The other one, the one you conveniently missed out involved me being sent tracking information (by the software company which make the host) which links to an invalid website -and- an invalid tracking number.

Now, at the end of the day, lost serial numbers, and missing orders have been discussed plenty of times at KVR, and not one moderator has ever said 'no thats out of place', but hell, you're the guy who starts holocaust denial rants in the middle of a thread in the Instruments forum, so you must be the right person to say what is and is not appropriate in a given forum, huh? What a hyprocritical little tosser.

My copy of S6 (and DimPro) arrived today.

First time Ive had an unboxed upgrade from CW, and its the new slimline 'getting started' manual, but I already knew that. Should give me something to do tonight.

Bear in mind the details in the "ACT and MIDI controllers" part of the manual is actually incorrect and you'll spend ages (as I did) looking for buttons that aren't there.

Apparently the F1 Help details for the controller surfaces page is an up to date reference.

Umm... I got the 'buy Sonar5 Producer and get Sonar 6 free upgrade' deal and I got a 258 page instruction manual with it.

except a baker has a dozen of 13, the biscuit-seller of 12.

Bakeries aside, I don't see why you wouldn't get an instruction manual with Sonar6, but the manual is a shorter version on Sonar 5, I believe. I don't see why any cakewalk product would come without a manual. Even Kinetic2 had one.

Alex Westner of Cakewalk posted the following on the CW forums.

Here are the facts about the documentation included with SONAR 6:

* User's Guide: we are shipping SONAR 6 with a single User's Guide - in either English, French, or German - so that everyone around the world will get the same printed manual. (International customers will be happy to know that the multi-language book is gone.) The User's Guide contains basic setup/installation instructions, as well as detailed information about the features that are new to SONAR 6.

* PDFs: On every SONAR 6 disc are complete reference PDFs - in English, French and German. Also on every disc are Spanish and Italian Quickstart PDFs.

* Integrated Help: SONAR's integrated Help provides easy, context-sensitive information for all the features in the app. The integrated Help actually includes all of the information found in the complete reference guides.

* Printed Manuals: Single-language printed references manuals will soon be available from Cakewalk as an additional purchase. We'll post more info on this as soon as we have it.
