Waves ARE samples.

:D.

If you have a wave file with a groove, and you want to use the different sounds, you'll need a slicer (e.g. LiveSlice, Devine Machine).

If you have a wave file that contains several fragments, you can use Waveknife to cut them into pieces.

Probably what you want to do is convert samples to a format for a specific program? In that case you should look at the documentation for that program, or get ESC, Chickensys, AWave, etc.

You guys have some attitude. If at one instance you needed some insight into the symphony orchestra, harmony, counterpoint, composition, digital theory, computer and network construction, etc. and came to me and would have gotten answers like yours, what would you've said?

Put the stilt away and give advice. If you can't I invite you to just skip.

Sylva.
