It's available on the beta page of GVST:

Basically, it's a looping recorder, which can be triggered by MIDI, and can sync to your host's tempo. Graham will explain in more detail, but I'm rapt with this plug, and it works in Receptor! It's both simple to use and very flexible (which is what Graham does so very well) - check it out!

Oh, and please, if you use it, donate to this very generous developer!

:D

(sorry about the double thread, but I didn't want Receptor users missing it)

thanks so much good new stuff being released lately :hyper:

I know, it's all a bit overwhelming :hihi:

Probably should have waited, but wanted Receptor users in particular to get this asap, and I'm sure there'll be others out there who'll find this invaluable :)

...and I will. Probably tomorrow though - I haven't got enough time right now.

In short, GLoop is a VST-ization of a typical record/loop/overdub pedal. (UK-based KVRers especially may be familiar with KT Tunstall, who has made good use of such a pedal in recent times.) Bringing the pedal into the virtual world opens up new possibilities for its use and abuse.

Enjoy :D.

It's very cool, Graham. I especially like having the sync record to audio in feature.

I was testing it out last night and was having some trouble with the overdubbing. If I left it on record while overdubbing, the extra layer would play, but as soon as I stopped recording and just left it playing, only the first pass recording played, the overdub fell silent. Is that a bug, or is there a trick to switch to the next overdub layer to leave the previous overdub to just play?

Post

shamann, in order to record another layer into the loop you should: 1. press the record to start the overdubbing. 2. dont press the stop/record again to stop the recording - use the play button instead. Now you'll hear the new layer as part of the new loop :)

Cool idea ... will check the plugin out later.
thankyou :D

Oh! Don't think I tried that. Will do so post-haste. Thanks.

nice little gem, thanks! :)

one fr: i'd like to use midi-notes for the functions, so it'd be nice if one could switch between cc and notes.. the numbers in the dialog could then correspond to note-numbers instead of cc-numbers
