Belgium was the center of early Techno Industrial through Play It Again Sam and Antler Records. Check out really early Neon Judgement - very raw and very cool. I no longer have my early 'best of Neon Judgement' record and kick myself regularly over that.

So what am I up to?

At present I am working on upgrades etc for SynthStudio Pack. Janus upgrades done, Depth II is working but needs a GUI and presets, I may well make another bank for Wavesphere and then I will turn back to PreRoll issues.

I am considering 2-3 new units to join PRR as "Buddies" (think utilities).

I may raise the price a bit when the pack is complete, esp if PreRoll MIDI works out (oops who said PRM?). So if you like PRR but haven't purchased yet, sooner may be better than later

how's that - will all preroll-buddy software be free for registered users of preroll recorder, sorta like synthpack, but recorderpack or something?

My current plans are for PRR to become a pack with PRR being the main event. Existing owners will automatically be along for the ride . Newer owners may have to join the party at a higher price. I'll see at the time.

PRR started with a bang but is much quieter now. Is that because it doesn't make any noise of it's own? Or is it because not enough ppl know about it yet? Interesting.

Sorry for the delay but last night I went dancing. The band was Good Rockin Daddies. They weren't rockin at all - well at least not a good R&R Rockabily way - played everything like straight rock and had some timing issues. So it was hard to say that they are that good but they all looked old enough to be fathers so I guess that makes it all right.

No honestly, they weren't bad at all as a band doing a show of old favourites and their harmonies on some of the soul stuff was quite respectable. I'd see them again. i'm just getting fussy about what I really enjoy dancing to.

Now PRR is getting my attention again so expect to see more over here as I make you some new buddies for PRR

I love to hear things like that.

The buddies will be small and furry. One will record and the other will protect recordings. Neither are as groundbreaking as PRR but they will be useful.

Hi Benedict,

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with...One further thing with preroll; I've only just realised that it always defaults to the same recording options, i.e. sample rate, time, mono and file location. Ideally I think it would be better if it recalled the last used settings. Don't know if that's something you could look at implementing? It's not such a problem now I'm aware of it (it was just that I'd realised everything was being recorded in 16bit mono

one way around that is to have a default project where it's loaded automatically - there the saved settings will stay the same, just don't save over the default file.

at least that's how i do it in eXT.
