It sounds and looks ok but even the lite-version is still a cpu-hog. I do hope the developer changes the name and does something about the cpu-consumption.

Call it FreeMM, and everyone boycott Arturia

hey, nice GUI, I just don't like the switch, it doesn't look as 3d modelled than the rest of this beautifull interface. oh, and about arturia, I just made a support thread on audiofanzine.

The footprint on this thing is enourmous for what it does, as is the CPU hit. No FX, no Arpeg. The new flat-grey color scheme (due to legal issues?) causes some controls to be unseen, such as soft clipping and # of unison voices. The filter doesn't seem to want to self-oscillate (standard Synthedit filter?) A good first try I suppose, but honestly there are more powerful monosynth VSTi's out there with a more distinct sound character, more features, and less CPU consumption and filesize footprint.

What's interesting me the most, due to the look and the name, is this a emulation of the Minimoog, and can people confirm this, or is this rather a stab at it with some custom modules but it's still far from it? Can it be compared with the Voltkitchen stuff?

I'm asking in here cause there's no contact information on the Page, and the PM function to cyclick is deactivated untill he wrote 10 posts. Futhermore I'd like to insert this VSTi to my list if it's really a "free alternative" to all those Minimoog clones out there.

Thanks.

it sounds cool. some moogish character, but i would not call it any kind of emulation, aside from the basic functionality. It is worth a try if you have some time and bandwidth to spare, and then you can tell US if it was worth it.
