Hi all, it's GREAT to be part of this - so many wonderful plugins - can't wait to try them all! :hyper:
and many kudos from me too to Tuz for getting all this together...

for those trying to get tonespace to work, and you have either Ableton or Cubase here is a useful link: http://www.mucoder.net/tonespace/daw-hosts.htm

Sorry for all others! I'll try to get more hosts in there asap. If you don't have a host or your host does not work, try this great free one http://www.hermannseib.com/english/savihost.htm

Puzzled what this thing is about? Never mind the docs! - have a look at the video : http://www.mucoder.net/tonespace/demos/ ... -demo1.wmv

If you have questions feel free to ask them here or pm me... I'd LOVE to hear about people getting it to work in other hosts - can't test them all...

Still no luck in FL Studio 6.08. I just bought energy XT the other day so I'll have to try in that, although, eXT is all new to me so we'll see. Perhaps someone will figure out how to get it to work in FL Studio before then. There's no big hurry, I won't have a lot of time the next few days anyway.

Cheers! :phones:

Checked FL6 this morning, and can reproduce the problem (seems that ts sends no midi output to FL). Will start debugging it as soon as I get home after my day job :-)
Keep you posted.

works very fine in phrazor. I've got still no clue, what the tonespaces mean (had no time yet to read the theory papaer), but it is fun to select some tonespace, choose a key and modus, set tetrachord and play midi...a strange auto-harmonizer!
(Reminds me of the Jazz-Mode Autoharmonizing in my old Casio Keyboard)

I give 5 points. (I had found it better, if I could spread my points. It is not easy with the ranking and I don't state lunchbox battles as 1/5 good as tonespace)

Aaaaargh, this plug seems really good. Too bad I won't ever install .NET on my machine. :?

c'mon Noox, the runtime is a completely painless install and you can fully ignore it afterwards...

but who am I to tell you what to install :-) (btw if I had loads of time I would do it all in C++ *and* do a macversion, but life is too short...)

Wow, 5 points! Thanks Al Magnifico!

Never mind.
well, that doesn't mean my 5th place is only 1/5 as good...i wish we had a chance to distribute some points instead of give a rank from 1-5. my other choices are quite as good as your contribution.

Yeah, this is a no-go for me in Sonar 6. I even installed net 2 - how's that for being a trooper?! It doesn't return errors on scan or loading, but the interface isn't there, leaving instead the all but useless Cakewalk-generic interface.

one thing - in some of the grid arrangements not all of the little square fit into the gui, are you aware of that, is it a problem with my setup, maybe?

besides that it's running fine in eXT.
oh, one more thing!!! it would have been REALLY awesome to have one grid that matches and reacts to a qwerty keyboard so you wouldn't have to use the mouse or a piano keyboard. maybe too problematic to program, but all them little squares on my computer keyboard are longing for a date with the tonespace squares. ;) :D

thank you, i love this plug! 8)

Hi Puffer, thanks for going throught the trouble of trying it.
Unfortunately I don't have Sonar6 and a demo seems not available yet. I tried tonespace with my Sonar LE & with 5.01 Producer demo though. It will open the UI correctly in those versions (although I think you need the 5.2 update to actually enable MIDI-out).

Do you have Sonar 5.2 too, by any chance? If so, does it work there?

Hi Fabi, thanks for your appreciation! Please see inline...

no it's by design. Not all spaces are of equal size but I have only a fixed window to show them in. Rather than scaling them down to fit the window I opted to just show a part with readable/usable square sizes. Might add some scaling/scrolling option in future versions though if there is demand.

that's a good idea, I'll see what I can do about keyboard input in a future version. Even nicer would maybe be to map them onto a physical square keyboard, something like the M-Audio Trigger Finger, or the extremely cool Monome (http://monome.org/pages/40h)
